My name is Pourquerie and I am a mushroom farmer. Thank you to BDS* who gave us the first mushroom spawns as capital to build our Village Savings and Loan (VSL) group. Now we can sell mushrooms and have money to buy raw materials (substrates) to make our own spawns. Mushroom farming helped us have more money to save and make loans to each other.
I borrowed $51 from my (VSL) group and bought a pig. I also have a goat. Both are from money earned from mushrooms.We wish to stay working with BDS until we become fully self-sufficient.
