Fabien, the mobilizer for a group of persons with disabilities, has set up a mat making workshop. The mats can be used for sleeping and sitting on and are sold in the market to provide income for the workers.
Fabien has been teaching that Stewardship is a way of seeing the world that recognizes everything in it is a gift from God to be cared for and shared to benefit the lives of others.
Recently the community made a mat to give as a gift to a blind woman who is not able to work with them to make the mats. They said, “Any kind of disability hurts, but being blind is worse.”
